Veronika Mayer: Elektronik
Gobi Drab: Paetzold Blockflöten, Stimme

mayer + drab bewegen sich stilistisch zwischen freier Improvisation und Neuer Musik. Sie erschaffen bewegte Klangtexturen aus Instrument, Stimme und Elektronik. Ihre Musik erhält lyrischen Charakter durch die Verwendung von Sprachlauten und verbaler Rhythmik und steht im Spannungsfeld zwischen klanglicher Ergänzung und klanglichem Kontrast durch die Besetzung des Duos. Die unkonventionellen Sounds des Duos, die ebenso faszinierend wie spröde anmuten, fordern das Publikum heraus Hörgewohnheiten zu hinterfragen und sich auf neue klangliche Strukturen einzulassen. Im Jänner 2025 ist das erste Album des Duos auf scatterArchive erschienen.

PERFORMANCE
Daphna Horenczyk – RAGE

Rage is a performative response to the growing epidemic of loneliness, polarization in society, and the role of identity politics in these phenomena. In Rage I materialize the assumption that the technologies that have created the illusion of connectivity are the ones that are accelerating the loneliness epidemic, and that social media has increased the volume of rage among us.
In Rage I will perform, dance, sing, play and dialog with a virtual self about all that makes me righteously indignant. This is an interdisciplinary solo-punk-performance born out of a chain of disillusionment with people, society and the direction of politics on a global scale. As a further manifestation of rebellion, I have decided to go “solo” in the creation process as well, meaning that I will create everything by myself: movement, text, music, costume, stage design, and video.

The ideological approach to this performance comes from the punk subculture. Punk political ideologies are primarily concerned with individual freedom and anti-establishment views. Common punk viewpoints include anti-authoritarianism, a DIY ethic, non-conformity, anti-corporatism, direct action and not selling out. In the punk subculture, the body is a symbol of opposition, a political statement expressing disgust with what is socially accepted. The idea is to make others question their own views. The question of authenticity is essential in the punk subculture – the pejorative term “poser” is applied to those who associate with punk and adopt its stylistic attributes but are deemed not to share or understand the underlying values or philosophy. In this work, I will call out all the poser identity groups around me and will delve deeply into the places where I am a poser and call myself out.

Hörspiel ist die kreative Zusammenarbeit von Zeynep Sarıkartal (alias ZS ZS) und Lukas Öcker (alias Frida Kore). Gemeinsam erkunden sie die Grenzen von Noise und IDM und erschaffen Klanglandschaften, die sowohl komplex als auch roh sind. Ihre Musik ist ein ehrlicher Ausdruck ihrer gemeinsamen Leidenschaft für experimentelle Elektronik, in der sie Texturen und Rhythmen auf unkonventionelle Weise verbinden. Bei Hörspiel geht es um die Reise, nicht um das Ziel. Das 2024 gegründete Duo schafft bei ihren Live-Auftritten ein intensives Hörerlebnis, das die Sinne herausfordert und erweitert. Zeyneps tiefgründige, texturreiche Soundscapes treffen auf Lukas‘ präzise, rhythmische Konstrukte und verschmelzen zu einer intensiven Symbiose aus Chaos und Struktur. Gemeinsam kreieren sie eine akustische Reise, die von dunkler Atmosphäre bis hin zu pulsierendem Chaos reicht – ein auditives Kunstwerk, das zugleich verstört und fasziniert.
