We research failure as a concept, a state, a mechanism, a feeling, a pretense, a relationship. We consciously invite failure into the room and play with it instead of pretending that it is not present. With each layer, the resistance remains and most tasks leave us with the notion of fuck. Yet we are finding a release, creative tickles, and nourishment in this negotiation.

dajci* is a Berlin-based and founded collective composed of five dancers and performers. Since their inception in June 2022, they have been developing a method of active listening, constant questioning, and radical care. Their current research focuses on body image and emotional, physical, and social nudity. In July 2022 they presented the piece „one more time/ until when // thank you for calling, please hold the line“, a three hours long participatory installation about „transitory waiting rooms“. In November 2022 and March 2023, they performed the work in progress „not today“ at Eschschloraque Bar in Berlin. They are committed to creating works from feminist perspectives for non-traditional spaces.

Celia Morris ist eine Bewegungskünstlerin und Wortschmiedin aus New Hampshire, USA. Seit sie nach Berlin gezogen ist, ist sie mit Danilo Andrés aufgetreten, hat Julie Stamm choreografisch assistiert und über Peace Lab einen Partnering-Kurs mit Julie Stamm geleitet. Ihre choreografische Arbeit wurde in nicht-traditionellen Räumen wie ihrem Zuhause und einer Bibliothek sowie auf der offiziellen Bühne des Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center als Teil des Urbanity NEXT 2020 Programms präsentiert. Sie erwarb 2019 einen BA in Tanz und vergleichenden amerikanischen Studien am Oberlin College und studierte 2021 zeitgenössische Tanzperformance bei Performact.

Julie C. Stamm is a performance artist based in Berlin and a member of dajci*collective. Since her graduation at Performact in 2021 she has collaborated on a performance installation with the musician Ryan Hollaway in the frame of Hangar Residency Lisbon. She is performing her solo work drosophilae funded by “Junge Kunst und Neue Wege” internationally (Germany, Austria, Poland, France) through which she is researching transitory waiting rooms and unconventional performative spaces. In a collaboration with Yoshiko Chuma & The School of Hard Knocks she is discovering film work. During the coming academic year she is pursuing the MSc “Psychology of the Arts, Neuroaesthetics and Creativity” at Goldsmiths University of London. Her ongoing research “brainf*ck” investigates neurocognitive tools in a creative process.

Anna Deborah Disse ist eine deutsche Tänzerin und Performerin, ansässig in Berlin. Anna kreierte und performte das Duo Melting Dresses, eine improvisierte Performance für das Green Light Fundraiser Event in Zusammenarbeit mit Marlen Pflüger im Haus der Statistik und wirkte als Tänzerin bei einem Video von Calvin Klein x Dazed mit. Ab Juli 2022 wird sie mit Nir de Volff zusammen als eine von 11 T ä n z e r * i n n e n d e n S t a r t e i n e s T ä n z e r * i n n e n N e t z w e r k e s , everybodydancenowgermany2022, auf Instagram performen. Nach einem Jahr Ballettausbildung und drei Jahren Ausbildung im zeitgenössischen Tanz, erwarb sie 2019 ihr Diplom als staatlich anerkannte Bühnentänzerin an der Tanzakademie balance1 in Berlin und verbrachte zwei Jahre in Performact in einem Intensivprogramm für zeitgenössische Performance in Portugal.

Dié Carvalho (Geburtsname Diana Carvalho) ist Performer*in, Choreograph*in und zeitgenössische Tänzer*in, geboren am 03.03.1995 in Porto, Portugal. In Berlin choreographierte Dié „Global Flame“, ein Stück was im Jahr 2022 in den Uferstudios aufgeführt wurde hier performte Dié außerdem das Stück „Denial“ choreographiert von Diego de la Rosa. Diés professionelle Ausbildung begann im Jahr 2010 im Balleteatro in Porto, gefolgt von der Superior School of Dance in Lissabon, hier erwarb Dié im Jahr 2016 ihren Bachelorabschluss. Nach Diés Umzug 2021 nach Berlin, trainierte Dié ein Jahr lang im intensiven Profitraining Programm DARTS.

Inbar Aviram ist eine Tänzerin und Aktivistin aus Jerusalem. Seit ihrer Ankunft im Dezember 2021 in Berlin hat Inbar, mit dem Fokus auf professionellem Training, Kurse und Workshops bei Danilo Andres, Dariuz Severyn Nowak, Roni Rotem, Nir De Volff, Dor Malia und mehreren GAGA-Lehrer*innen besucht. Sie arbeitet als Aktivistin mit Flüchtlingen aus Eritrea und dem Sudan, sowie mit einer Organisation zur Unterstützung der palästinensischen Gemeinschaft. In der Thelma Yelline High School of Art entwickelte sie eine Grundlage in zeitgenössischem Tanz und Ballett, daraufhin studierte sie im internationalen Programm der Vertigo Dance Company und nahm ein Jahr an dem postgradualen Programm in Performact einem Intensivtrainingsprogramm in Portugal teil.
